Comment Vs Correct

Once there lived a great painter who was extremely talented. He was very well known in the kingdom. One day he painted a beautiful picture of sun rise in the street and b elow that he wrote

"Please share your comments wherever you think I should have done better".

After a week he came back to look at the picture. The entire picture had lots and lots of comments from people saying "you should correct this, you should correct that." The comments were so much that he was not able to see his original picture. Next week he painted another beautiful scenery in the same street and this time he wrote

"Please make corrections wherever you think I should have done better".

He came after a week and was surprised to see that there was no single correction made by anyone. The painting was untouched. Moral of the story "It is easy to comment on anything, it is not easy to correct anything".

It requires a great soul to correct, let's all be great souls. Even if we can move a small pebble it is a great contribution

Sometimes we must be Hurt in order to Grow,

Sometimes we must Fail in order to Know,
Sometimes we must Lose in order to Gain

Because some lessons in life are best learned through PAIN....

May the brand New Day turn into a Wonderful One,
When all the things you wish for will surely come your way.

Every Day Is A Good Day

Let me share with you a strategy I use
To avoid being flooded with feelings of
Gloom, depression and fear.

Every day is a good day.
But when I'm experiencing
A day full of frustrations,
I don't call it a bad day,
I call it an "interesting" day.
This habit keeps me
From being overwhelmed
With negative emotions.

Why does this work?
Repetitive thoughts
And words create feelings.
Those feelings create a positive or
Negative behavior pattern.

If I tell myself it's a bad day,
I began to feel defeated and exhausted.
If my day has one issue after another,
If I tell myself it's an "interesting" day
This keeps my open to gratitude, hope, solutions,
Resiliency, and sometimes even a sense of humor.

10 Ways to Deal With Change and Uncertainty in 2010!

1. Accept what is! If you can change something, then do; if you can’t change anything, then release resistance and simply be with what is.

2. Take risks. Life is about not having answers, taking chances and risks, and making the most of every moment, all without knowing what is going to happen next.

3. Be your own best friend. It is easy to blame and shame yourself, but now is the time you deserve the most love and kindness of all.

4. Every day is a new beginning. Each time you take a step forward you have no idea what might happen. But nothing will happen if you continue to stay where you are.

5. Keep falling as long as you keep picking yourself up! Making mistakes is not the problem, but not learning from them and moving on is.

6. Nothing is permanent, so appreciate every moment, fully and completely, as it will never happen again.

7. Think with your heart instead of your head. When you come from your heart you come to your senses!

8. Meditate. Take time to just stop and breathe, to remember why you are here, and to find what is of real meaning to you.

9. Don’t take yourslf too seriously. A good sense of humor prevents a hardening of your attitudes, and stops your opinions from getting too rigid!

10. Do something for someone else and make giving a part of your life, even if it is just a simple smile and a hug.

Let’s hope 2010 will bring a greater sense of sanity to this crazy world and a greater peace of mind. May this be your best year ever! Happy New Year!

WHEN THINGS GO BAD,
always remember: It could be worse.

NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP.
Keep working on your speech and your life.

NEVER LOSE YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR.
Laugh at yourself, laugh with others.

STEM DEPRESSION
by thinking of, reaching out to and helping others.

DO UNTO OTHERS
as you would have them do unto you.

PRAY,
not for God to cure you but to help you help yourself.

Whatever you plan today,
I hope it's just right.

Present just for you....!!!!!

Nothing happens by accident...

If one day when you wake up, you would find on your bed a beautifully wrapped present with delicate bows, you would open it before even washing your face, curious about what is inside....

Maybe what you find is something you do not like very much...then you would put away the box wondering what to do with the present...

But, if the next day you find another present, you would open it also and, if this time you find something inside that you like very much....

A memory from someone that is far away....a beautiful clothing you saw on a window shop...the keys to a new car....a beautiful winter coat...or just a beautiful flower from somebody that remembered you.....

This happens every day, but we do not realize it...

Every day when we wake up, it is there, before us, a present sent to us by God....a whole day to use in the best possible way

Sometimes it comes with problems, issues that we do not seem to be able to solve. Sometimes it comes with sadness, deception,
even tears...

But other times it comes full of surprises, happiness, success and achievements. .....

What is important is that every day we receive a present, wrapped especially for us while we sleep: THE NEXT DAY.

We are presented this box with colored bows, no matter what the day brings...... ..

That day when we wake up every morning is a PRESENT.....

The present that life gives us.

It is not always what we wish or what we hope for......

But it is the best for us, what we need most, what we have to learn.....what we need to grow...

BE HAPPY,IT'S ONE WAY OF BEING WISE,

Affirmation for Today

*********
Ralph Waldo Emerson has accurately said, "One of the illusions of life is that the present hour is not the critical, decisive hour. Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year."
*********
Today is an important day. That problem you solve, that decision you make, that time you enjoy can shape your whole life. The way you and I approach today, and each day, is crucial. Our lives are built by a series of days like today.
*********
I discovered an affirmation that can help in living each day fully:
*********
Today I will live through the next 24 hours and not try to tackle all of life's problems at once.
*********
Today I will improve myself, body, mind and spirit.
*********
Today I will refuse to spend time worrying about what might happen if...
*********
Today I will not imagine what I would do if things were different. They are not different. I will do my best with what material I have.
*********
Today I will find the grace to let go of resentments of others and self-condemnation over past mistakes.
*********
Today I will not try to change, or improve, anybody but me.
*********
Today I will act toward others as though this will be my last day on earth.
*********
Today I will be unafraid. I will enjoy what is beautiful, and I will believe that as I give to the world, the world will give to me.
*********
Whether these are the best of times or the worst of times, these are the only times we've got. Live each day fully and you will look back on a life that made a difference.

Sometimes in life, you find a special friend...
Someone who changes your life just by being part of it...
Someone who makes you laugh until you can't stop...
Someone who makes you believe that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you that
there really is an unlocked door just waiting for you to open it......

“An arrow can be sent forward only by pulling it back. So when life is pulling

you backwards, it means it’s going to launch you to a victory!"
"Hold on to what you want, as well as believe in.”

Happiness is not something u postpone 4 the future.
It’s something u design 4 the present.
Make each moment a happy one.
I just did it by remembering U!

When asked what forgiveness is
A little girl gives the beautiful answer
"Forgiveness is the sweet scent that a flower
gives when it is crushed"

If a drop of water falls on lake, it loses its identity.
If it falls on a rose, it shines.
If it falls on a shell, it becomes a pearl.
The drop is the same, but the company matters.

Celebration means...

Celebration means...

Four friends.
raining outside.
Four glasses of Tea.

Celebration means...

Hundred bucks of petrol.
A rusty old bike.
And an open road.

Celebration means...

A hostel Tea.
A hostel room.
12 a.m.

Celebration means...

3 old friends.
3 separate cities.
3 coffee mugs.
1 internet messenger.

Celebration means...

Rain on a hot tin roof.
Pakodas deep-frying.
Neighbours dropping in.
A party.

Celebration means...

You and mom.
A summer night.
A bottle of coconut oil.
A head massage.

You can spend
Hundreds on birthdays,
Thousands on festivals,
Lakhs on weddings,
but to celebrate
all you have to do is spend your Time with your loved ones

how good we understand someone but on how well we avoid misunderstandings.

Short story with a Moral

One day a fisherman got up very early in the morning.
There was not enough sunlight to get into the sea. He saw a pack of stones to pass time.
He started throwing the stone into the sea.

While having the last stone in the hand, the sun came up then he saw that the stone was a diamond and all the stones he threw were diamonds as well.

He felt for his misfortune of throwing all of them into the sea...

Moral of the story: Below
************ *************
Do not get up early in the morning...

One Dozen Timeless Ways to be Happy!

Our passions, expectations, life experiences, and even our personalities all contribute to the level of happiness we experience in our lives. Some find happiness in their careers while others find ways to be happy in their marriages or other relationships.
No matter how you define happiness for yourself, there are certain universal and time-proven strategies to bring, and sustain, more happiness into your life. The following one dozen timeless ways to be happy can be adapted and even customized to fit your needs. Over time, these strategies will become positive and life-changing habits that will begin to bring more happiness, joy and peace into your life.

Notice What’s Right

Some of us see the glass as being half-full and others see the glass as half-empty. The next time you are caught in traffic, begin thinking how nice it is to have a few moments to reflect on the day, focus on a problem you have been trying to solve, or brainstorm on your next big idea. The next time you get in the slow line at the grocery store, take the opportunity to pick up a tabloid magazine and do some “guilty pleasure” reading. Take all that life throws out you and reframe it with what’s right about the situation. At the end of the day, you will more content, at peace and happy. Take the time to begin to notice what’s right and see the world change in front of your eyes.

Be Grateful

How many times do you say the words “thank you,” in a day? How many times do you hear these same words? If you are doing the first thing, saying the “thank yous,” the latter will naturally happen. Learn to be grateful and you will be open to receive an abundance of joy and happiness.

Remember the Kid You Were

Do you remember how to play? I’m not referring to playing a round of golf or a set of tennis. I’m talking about playing like you did when you were a child – a game of tag; leap frog, or street baseball when the bat is a broken broom handle and the bases are the parked cars. One way to find or maintain your happiness is to remember the kid you were and play!

Be Kind

There is no question that by merely watching acts of kindness creates a significant elevation in our moods and increases the desire for us to perform good deeds as well. Kindness is indeed contagious and when we make a commitment to be kind to ourselves and to others we can experience new heights of joy, happiness and enthusiasm for our lives.

Spend Time with Your Friends

Although an abundant social and romantic life does not itself guarantee joy, it does have a huge impact on our happiness. Learn to spend time with your friends and make the friendships a priority in your life.

Savor Every Moment

To be in the moment is to live in the moment. Too often we are thinking ahead or looking ahead to the next event or circumstance in our lives, not appreciating the “here and now.” When we savor every moment, we are savoring the happiness in our lives.

Rest

There are times when we need the time to unwind, decompress, or to put it simply, just “to chill.” Life comes at all of us hard and fast. Time, as do the days on the calendar, keeps going forward at its own natural pace, which is not always the pace we would choose. Fatigue, stress and exhaustion may begin to settle in on us faster than we may think, or notice. The best remedy for this is indeed rest.

Move!

The expression a “runner’s high” does not infer an addiction, but a feeling or a state of mind - a state of euphoria. There is no question exercise, or any physical exertion, elevates your mood and enhances a more positive attitude as well as fosters better personal self-esteem and confidence. Indeed, one way to increase your happiness is to move!

Put on a Happy Face

Sometimes we have to fake it until we make it. I’m not suggesting that we not be honest, real or authentic, but I’m suggesting, sometimes, we just need to put on a happy face and keep moving forward. Researchers claim that smiling and looking like we are happy will indeed make us happier. Studies further show that if we act like we are happy then we can experience greater joy and happiness in our lives.

Pursue Your Goals

The absence of goals in our lives, or more specifically avoiding to pursue our goals, makes us feel like we are stuck and ineffective. The pursuit of goals in our personal lives, in our relationships, or with our careers, is the difference between having a mediocre life or a life full of passion and enthusiasm. Pursue your goals and watch your happiness soar.

Finding Your Calling

Some find meaning in religion or spirituality while others find purpose in their work or relationships. Finding your calling may be much more than accomplishing one simple strategy for increasing your happiness, but having a sense of purpose – of feeling like you are here for a reason – can perhaps bring the greatest joy of all.

Get into the Flow

Flow is the form of joy, excitement and happiness that occurs when we are so absorbed in an activity we love that we can lose ourselves and time seems to stand still. What creates flow is unique to each one of us. To find and sustain true happiness in our lives, we must get off the sidelines and get into the flow.
And two more just to sweeten the pot a little more.

Play to Your Strengths

One way to achieve flow is by understanding and identifying our strengths and core values, and then begin to use these every day. Once we aware of our strengths and we begin to play to your strengths we can better incorporate them in all aspects of our lives.

Don’t Overdo It

Know when to say when. What gives you joy and happiness the first time may not work the second time. Too much of a good thing may begin not to feel as good if the “thing” becomes more of a routine, or an expectation. Set healthy and reasonable boundaries for yourself and don’t overdo it.

Learning to be happy on all the days between.
