Change Your Strategy

Once there was a blind man sitting on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet and a sign that read: "I am blind, please help".

A creative publicist was walking by him and stopped to observe he only had a few coins in his hat, he dropped a few more coins in his hat and without asking for his permission took the sign, turned it around, and wrote another announcement. He placed the sign by his feet and left.

That afternoon the creative publicist returned by the blind man and noticed thathis hat was full of bills and coins. The blind man recognized his footstepsand asked if it was him who had re-written his sign and he wanted to know what did he write on it? The publicist responded: "Nothing that was nottrue, I just rewrote your sign differently".

He smiled and went on his way.

The blind man never knew but his new sign read "TODAY IS SPRING AND I CANNOT SEE IT".

Change your strategy when something does not go your way and you'll see it will probably be for the best. Have faith that every change is best for our lives.

What is life All About....A Short Story

A Long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he
could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he likes, then
the Emperor would give him the area of land he has covered.

Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as
fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on
riding
and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible.

When he was hungry, thirsty or tired, he did not stop because he wanted
to cover as much area as possible. Came to a point when he had covered
a substantial area and he was exhausted and was dying. Then he asked
himself, "Why did I pushed myself so hard to cover so much land area?
Now
I am dying and I only need a very small area to bury myself."

The above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push very
hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition. We
neglect our health, time with our family and to appreciate the
surrounding
beauty and the hobbies we love to do.

One day when we look back, we will realize that we don't really need
that much, but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed.

Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition. Life is
definitely not about work! Work is only necessary to keep us living so
as to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life.

Lessons to Learn from The Story:

Life is a balance of Work and Play, Family and Personal time. You have
to decide how you want to balance your Life. Define your priorities,
realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your
decisions be based on your instincts.

Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole aim of
human existence. So, take it easy, do what you want to do and
appreciate
nature. Life is fragile, Life is short. Do not take Life for granted.
Live a balance lifestyle and enjoy Life!

A small story for u people…
Two butterflies were in love.........
One day, they decided to play Hide n Seek.......
During the play.....
Boy Butterfly - "A small game within us"
Girl Butterfly - "OK"
Boy Butterfly - "The one who sits in this flower tomorrow early in the morning.....that one loves the other one more....."
Girl Butterfly - "OK"
Next morning, the boy butterfly waits for the flower to open so that he can sit before the girl butterfly does......
Finally, the flower opened.....
What did he see.....?????........
.
.
The girl butterfly had died inside the flower.....
She stayed there all night......so that early in the morning......as soon as she sees him.......she can fly to him and tell him how much she loved him........
This is true LOVE....
Life is LOVE.......
LOVING MIGHT MEAN TAKING CHANCES, BUT THEY ARE WORTH TAKING......
LOVING MIGHT BE A MISTAKE, BUT ITS WORTH MAKING........

Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a Rupee 500 note.
In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this Rupee 500 note?"
Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this note to one of you
but first let me do this." He proceeded to crumple the note up.
He then asked, "Who still wants it?"
Still the hands were up in the air.
"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and
started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now all
crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?"
Still the hands went into the air.
"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not
decrease in value. It was still worth Rupee 500/-.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt
by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as
though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose
your value.
You are special. Don't ever forget it! Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.
" VALUE HAS A VALUE ONLY IF ITS VALUE IS VALUED"

Story to live by......Life Is a Gift

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see the world, I will marry you.'

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.'

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Life Is a Gift

Today before you say an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone who's crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who died too early on this earth.

Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us is without sin.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and think: you're alive and still around.

If you are ever going to love me; love me now.
While I can know the sweet and tender feelings
from which true affections flows.

Love me now while I am living. Do not wait until I am gone.
To have those sweet words chiseled in marble on ice-cold stone.

If you have tender thoughts of me, please let me know now.

The Pretty Lady

Once upon a time a big monk and a little monk were travelling together. They came to the bank of a river and found the bridge was damaged. They had to wade across the river. There was a pretty lady who was stuck at the damaged bridge and couldn't cross the river. The big monk offered to carry her across the river on his back. The lady accepted. The little monk was shocked by the move of the big monk. "How can big brother carry a lady when we are supposed to avoid all intimacy with females?" thought the little monk. But he kept quiet. The big monk carried the lady across the river and the small monk followed unhappily. When they crossed the river, the big monk let the lady down and they parted ways with her.
All along the way for several miles, the little monk was very unhappy with the act of the big monk. He was making up all kinds of accusations about big monk in his head. This got him madder and madder. But he still kept quiet. And the big monk had no inclination to explain his situation. Finally, at a rest point many hours later, the little monk could not stand it any further, he burst out angrily at the big monk. "How can you claim yourself a devout monk, when you seize the first opportunity to touch a female, especially when she is very pretty? All your teachings to me make you a big hypocrite The big monk looked surprised and said, "I had put down the pretty lady at the river bank many hours ago, how come you are still carrying her along?"

This very old Chinese Zen story reflects the thinking of many people today. We encounter many unpleasant things in our life, they irritate us and they make us angry. Sometimes, they cause us a lot of hurt, sometimes they cause us to be bitter or jealous. But like the little monk, we are not willing to let them go away.We keep on carrying the baggage of the "pretty lady" with us. We let them keep on coming back to hurt us, make us angry, bitter and cause us a lot of agony. Why? Simply because we are not willing to put down or let go of the baggage of the "pretty lady". We should let go of the pretty lady immediately after crossing the river, that is after the unpleasant event is over. This will immediately remove all our agonies. There is no need to be further hurt by the unpleasant event after it is over.

It only takes a minute to tell a loved one you adore them

It only takes a minute to tell a loved one you adore them
It only takes a minute to run towards a fear
It only takes a minute to set a big goal
It only takes a minute to drink a glass of water
It only takes a minute to read a great idea (that just might rock your world)
It only takes a minute to write the most beautiful thank you note you have ever sent your parents (or a teammate or a customer or a high school teacher who blessed your life)
It only takes a minute to smile
It only takes a minute to connect to a friend or a co-worker
It only takes a minute to help a human being in need
It only takes a minute to raise your standards to world- class
It only takes a minute to go the extra mile at work and wow a customer
It only takes a minute to reflect on what you can do today to be better than you were yesterday
It only takes a minute to embrace change
It only takes a minute to make a new choice that will lead to your best life.
Make the best of your minutes. Each one of them makes up your life

We might not meet, we might not chat,
but we would still be friends,
you better don't forget that..

Times would go passing by,
changes would come with you and I,
our lives destiny would shape,
as with time progress we make.

Distance would take us away miles & miles,
we might not even see each others smiles.
We might not help each other; but still let not,
our friendship wither..
.... Have a Great Day ... Do Keep Smiling

Love is like playing the piano... First you must learn, to play by the rules...

He was a young boy who lived with his elderly Mother. His mother wanted him to learn how to play the piano because she Longed to hear her son play for her. She sent her son to a piano teacher who Took Robby in under her guidance.

However, there was one small problem Because Robby was not musically inclined and therefore was very slow in Learning.

The teacher did not have much faith in the boy because of his Weakness. The mother was very enthusiastic and every week she would send Robby to the teacher.

One day Robby stopped attending the piano lessons. The teacher thought that He had given up and in fact she was quite pleased since she did not give Much hope to Robby. Not long after, the piano teacher was given the task to Organize a piano concert in town. She sent out circulars to invite the Students and public to attend the event.

Suddenly, she received a call from Robby who offered to take part in the concert. The teacher told Robby that He was not good enough and that he was no longer a student since he had Stopped coming for lessons.

Robby begged her to give him a chance and Promised that he would not let her down.

Finally, she gave in and she put him to play last, hoping that he will Change his mind at the last minute. When the big day came, the hall was Packed and the children gave their best performance. Finally ,

It was Robby's Turn to play and as his name was announced, he walked in. He was not in Proper attire and his hair was not properly groomed.

The teacher was really Nervous since Robby's performance could spoil the whole evening's brilliant Performance.

As Robby started playing the crowd became silent and was amazed At the skill of this little boy. In fact, he gave the best performance of The evening. At the end of his presentation the crowd and the piano teacher Gave him a standing ovation. The crowd asked Robby how he managed to play so Brilliantly.

With a microphone in front of him, he said, "I was not able to Attend the weekly piano lessons as there was no one to send me because my Mother was sick with cancer. She just passed away this morning and I wanted Her to hear me play. You see, this is the first time she is able to hear me Play because when she was alive she was deaf and now I know she is listening To me. I have to play my best for her!"

If you don't get recognition to your work, You won't become 'O"

A nice mail to motivate the team. Please have a glance over it.

• Employee "A" in a company walked up to his manager and asked what my job is for the day?
• The manager took "A" to the bank of a river and asked him to cross the river and reach the other side of the bank.
• "A" completed this task successfully and reported back to the manager about the completion of the task assigned. The manager smiled and said "GOOD JOB"
• Next day Employee "B" reported to the same manager and asked him the job for the day. The manager assigned the same task as above to this person also.
• The Employee "B' before starting the task saw Employee "C" struggling in the river to reach the other side of the bank. He realized "C" has the same task.
• Now "B" not only crossed the river but also helped "C" to cross the river.
• "B" reported back to the manager and the manager smiled and said "VERY GOOD JOB"
The following day Employee "Q" reported to the same manager and asked him the job for the day. The manager assigned the same task again.
• Employee "Q" before starting the work did some home work and realized "A", "B" & "C" all has done this task before. He met them and understood how they performed.
• He realized that there is a need for a guide and training for doing this task.
• He sat first and wrote down the procedure for crossing the river, he documented the common mistakes people made, and tricks to do the task efficiently and effortlessly.
• Using the methodology he had written down he crossed the river and reported back to the manager along with documented procedure and training material.
• The manger said "Q" you have done an "EXCELLENT JOB".

The following day Employee "O' reported to the manager and asked him the job for the day. The manager assigned the same task again.
"O" studied the procedure written down by "Q" and sat and thought about the whole task.

He realized company is spending lot of money in getting this task completed. He decided not to cross the river, but sat and designed and implemented a bridge across the river and went back to his manager and said, "You no longer need to assign this task to any one".

The manager smiled and said "Outstanding job 'O'. I am very proud of you."

What is the difference between A, B, Q & O????????

Many a times in life we get tasks to be done at home, at office, at play.,

Most of us end up doing what is expected out of us. Do we feel happy? Most probably yes. We would be often disappointed when the recognition is not meeting our expectation.

Let us compare ourselves with "B". Helping some one else the problem often improves our own skills. There is an old proverb (I do not know the author) "learn to teach and teach to learn". From a company point of view "B" has demonstrated much better skills than "A" since one more task for the company is completed.

"Q" created knowledge base for the team. More often than not, we do the task assigned to us without checking history. Learning from other's mistake is the best way to improve efficiency. This knowledge creation for the team is of immense help.

Re-usability reduces cost there by increases productivity of the team. "Q" demonstrated good "team-player" skills,

Now to the outstanding person, "O" made the task irrelevant; he created a Permanent Asset to the team.

If you notice B, Q and O all have demonstrated "team performance" over an above individual performance; also they have demonstrated a very invaluable characteristic known as "INITIATIVE".

Initiative pays of every where whether at work or at personal life. If you put initiative you will succeed. Initiative is a continual process and it never ends. This is because this year's achievement is next year's task. You cannot use the same success story every year.

The story provides an instance of performance, where as measurement needs to be spread across at least 6-12 months. Consequently performance should be consistent and evenly spread.

Out-of-Box thinkers are always premium and that is what every one constantly looks out for. Initiative, Out-of-Box thinking and commitment are the stepping stone to success.

Initiative should be life long. Think of out of the box.

THE SMART DRIVER

THE SMART DRIVER

There was once a very famous motivational speaker. He
had a driver who followed him to all his speaking
engagements. The driver saw and heard the motivational
speaker spoke so often that he knew word for word what
the motivational speaker was going to say. He became an
expert too. The driver told the motivational speaker
that he could speak just as well. One day when the
motivational speaker was not feeling well, the driver
asked for a chance to speak in his place. The
motivational speaker agreed and the driver went on
stage confidently and gave the best motivational speech
of his life. The motivational speaker was shocked
because the driver spoke and moved exactly like him.
The driver got a standing ovation from the big audience
at the end of his speech. After the speech, it was
question time. One of the audiences asked a very
difficult question. The driver knew that there was no
way he could answer the question. He paused for a
moment and confidently told the audience that the
question was too easy for him so he will ask his driver
(the motivational speaker) to answer it instead.

SUCCESS PRINCIPLE

It is easy to be successful if you find a successful
person as a mentor to follow. To be successful you have
to be a good "copycat" and follow what successful
people do. Let them be your role model. Follow what
they do, what they believe in, how they move, how they
talk, and what they think about most of the time. If
they succeed in what they do, you can also have the
same degree of success if you role model them.
Successful people have developed a pattern of
excellence.

Someone Who Understands!!!

A store owner was tacking a sign above his door that read: "Puppies For Sale". Signs like that have a way of attracting small children and sure enough, a little boy appeared under the store owner's sign.
"How much are you going to sell the puppies for?" he asked.
The store owner replied, "Anywhere from $30 to $50."
The little boy reached in his pocket and pulled out some change.
"I have $2.37," he said. "Can I please look at them?"
The store owner smiled and whistled and out of the kennel came Lady, who ran out in the aisle of his store followed by five teeny, tiny balls of fur. One puppy was lagging considerably behind.
Immediately the little boy singled out the lagging, limping puppy and said, "What's wrong with that little dog?"
The store owner explained that the veterinarian had examined the little puppy and had discovered it didn't have a hip socket. It would always be lame.
The little boy became excited. "That is the puppy that I want to buy."
The store owner said, "No, you don't want to buy that little dog. If you really want him, I'll just give him to you."
The little boy got quite upset. He looked straight into the store owner's eyes, pointing his finger, and said, "I don't want you to give him to me. That little dog is worth every bit as much as all the other dogs and I'll pay full price. In fact, I'll give you $2.37 now, and 50 cents a month until I have him paid for."
The store owner countered, "You really don't want to buy this little dog. He is never going to be able to run and jump and play with you like the other puppies."
To his surprise, the little boy reached down and rolled up his pant leg to reveal a badly twisted, crippled left leg supported by a big metal brace. He looked up at the store owner and softly replied, "Well, I don't run so well myself, and the little puppy will need someone who understands."

Don't we all need someone who understands?

One fine day, an old couple around the age of 70, walks into a lawyer's office.

Apparently, they are there to file a divorce.Lawyer was very puzzled, after having a chat with them, he got their story....

This couple had been quarreling all their 40 over yrs of marriage nothing ever seems to go right. They hang on because of their children, afraid that it might affect their up-bringing. Now, all their children have already grown up, have their own family, there's nothing else the old couple have to worry about, all they wanted is to lead their own life free from all these years of unhappiness from their marriage, so both agree on a divorce....

Lawyer was having a hard time trying to get the papers done, because he felt that after 40 yrs of marriage at the age of 70, he couldn't understand why the old couple would still want a divorce..

While they were signing the papers, the wife told the husband..

"I really love u, but I really cant carry on anymore, I'm sorry.."

"Its o.k, I understand.." said the husband. Lookin at this, the lawyer suggested a dinner together, just 3 of them, wife thought, why not, since they are still gonna be friends..

At the dining table, there was a silence of awkardness.

The first dish was roasted chicken, immediately, the old man took the drumstick for the old lady.."take this, its your favourite.."

Looking at this, the lawyer thought maybe theres still a chance, but the wife was frowning when she answer.."This is always the problem, you always think so highly of yourself, never thought about how I feel, don't you know that I hate drumsticks?"

Little did she know that, over the years, the husband have been trying all ways to please her, little did she know that drumsticks was the husband's favourite. Little did he know that she never thought he understand her at all, little did he know that she hates drummsticks even though all he wants is the best for her.

That night, both of them couldn't sleep, toss and turn, toss and turn...after hours, the old man couldn't take it anymore, he knows that he still loves her, and he cant carry on life without her, he wants her back, he wants to tell her, he is sorry, he wanted to tell her "I love you"...

He picks up the phone, starting dialing her number....ringing never stops..he never stop dialing....On the other side, she was sad, she couldn't understand how come after all these years, he still doesn't understand her at all, she loves him a lot, but she just cant take it anymore....phone's ringing, she refuses to answer knowing that its him..."whats the point of talking now that its over...I have ask for it and now I wanna keep it this way, if not I will lose face.."she thought...still ringing...she have decided to pull out the cord... Little did she remember, he have heart problems...

The next day, she received news that he had passed away...she rushed down to his apartment, saw his body, lying on the couch still holding on to the phone...he had a heart attack when he was still trying to get through her phone line....

As sad as she could be...she will have to clear his belongings.. .when she was looking thru the drawers, she saw this insurance policy, dated from the day they got married, with the beneficiary being her... And together in those file, there was this note...

"To my dearest wife, by the time you're reading this, I'm sure I'm no longer around, I bought this policy for you, though the amount is only $100k, I hope it will be able to help me continue my promise that I have made when we got married, I might not be around anymore, I want this amount of money to continue taking care of you, just like the way I will if I could have live longer. I want you to know Iwill always be around, by your side... I love you"

Tears flowed like river......

"When you love someone, let them know... You never know what will happen the next minute.... Learn to build a life together.. Learn to love each other. For who they are.. Not what they are..."

I WILL WAIT
A big flood hit a village. Everyone was evacuated and fled for safety, except for one man who said, “God will save me. I have faith.” As the water level rose, a jeep came to rescue him but he refused help and said, “God will save me. I have faith.” As the water level rose further, he went up to the second story, and a boat came to help him. Again he refused to go saying, “God will save me. I have faith.” The water kept rising and finally he climbed to the roof. A helicopter came to rescue him, but he said, “God will save me. I have faith.” Finally he drowned. When he came face to face with his Maker he angrily commented, “I have complete faith in you. Why did you ignore my prayers and let me drown?” The Lord replied, “Who do you think sent the jeep, the boat, and the helicopter?”

SUCCESS PRINCIPLES
We must be accountable for what we do and not blame others for our shortcoming. We have to take the necessary action to help ourselves, rather than waiting, wishing and wondering what is happening in life. Nobody will help you unless you first decide to help yourself.
Take action right now and do not waste any minute. You are responsible for your own failure or success!!

A holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day and said,"Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like. The Lord led the holy man to two doors. He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water. The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful, but because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, "You have seen Hell." They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water. The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking.
The holy man said, "I don't understand"." It is simple said the Lord, "it requires only one skill. You see, they have learned to feed each other. While the greedy think only of themselves."
Moral: -Its people's attitude that makes our place of work, a hell or heaven to them!! -'Help and Seek Help' this makes all the difference to each individual's life...and makes our lives hell or otherwise. -Success and happiness is all about effective team-work.....make it a great place to work..

Please never abandon your loved ones........

This is a true story that happened in Japan. In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan breaks open the wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, and feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail and it was nailed 10 years ago when the house was first built!
What happened?
The lizard has survived in such position for 10 years! In a dark wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling.
Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10 years! Without moving a single step--since its foot was nailed!
So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in its mouth. Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 10 years ...
Imagine? it has been doing that untiringly for 10 long years, without giving up hope on its partner…
Think, will u do that for your partner? Or at least your Mom & Dad, Who went through struggle & hardship to raise and educate you & invested the best years of their lives raising you?
Imagine what a small creature can do, and a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can’t.
As information and communication technology advances, our access to information becomes faster and faster. But the distance between human beings . . . is it getting closer as well?...
And Please never abandon your loved ones....

A boy had cancer and he had one month to live.
He liked a girl working in a CD shop very much.
But he did not tell her about his love.

Everyday he went to the CD shop and bought a CD only to talk to her.

After a month he died.

When the girl went to his home and asked about him, his mom told that he died and took her to his room. She saw all the CD's unopened.

The girl cried n cried n finally died.....

you know why she cried?

B'coz she kept her own love letters inside the CD packs. She also loved him.

if u love someone..... .say directly don“t wait for the destiny to play the role oderwise u will lose dat

Some time ago a man punished his 5-year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became even more upset when the child pasted the gold paper so as to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy." The father was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found the box was empty. He spoke to her in a harsh manner, "Don't you know, young lady, when you give someone a present there's supposed to be something inside the package?"

The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and said, "Oh, Daddy, it's not empty. I blew kisses into it until it was full." The father was crushed. He fell on his knees and put his arms around his little girl, and he begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later and it is told that the father kept that gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. And whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems he would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us as human beings have been given a golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

BONDING – BUILDING CONFIDENCE

BONDING – BUILDING CONFIDENCE
A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge.
The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweet heart, Please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river."
The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the difference?" asked the puzzled father.
"There's a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me,
chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens,
you will never let my hand go." In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond.
So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold urs...

Narayana Murthy's views on staying late in the office.

Narayana Murthy's views on staying late in the office.

It's half past 8 in the office
but the lights are still on...
PCs still running,
coffee machines still buzzing...
and who's at work?
Most of them??? Take a closer look...
All or most specimens are ??-something male species of the human
race...

Look closer... again all or most of them are bachelors...
and why are they sitting late? Working hard? No way!!!
Any guesses???
Let's ask one of them...
Here's what he says... "What's there 2 do after going home... here we
get to surf, AC, phone, food, coffee.. that is why I am working late...
importantly no bossssssss!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the scene in most research centers and software companies and
other off-shore offices.
Bachelors "time-passing" during late hours in the office just bcoz they
say they've nothing else to do...
Now what r the consequences... read on...
"Working"(for the record only) late hours soon becomes part of the
institute or company culture.
With bosses more than eager to provide support to those "working" late
in the form of taxi vouchers, food vouchers and of course good
feedback,(oh, he's a hard worker... goes home only to change..!!).They
aren't helping things too... To hell with bosses who don't understand
the difference between "sitting" late and "working" late!!!
Very soon, the boss start expecting all employees to put in extra
working hours.
So, My dear Bachelors let me tell you, life changes when u get married
and start having a family... office is no longer a priority, family
is... and that's when the problem starts... becoz u start having
commitments at home too.
For your boss, the earlier "hardworking" guy suddenly seems to become a
"early leaver" even if u leave an hour after regulartime... after doing
the same amount of work.
People leaving on time after doing their tasks for the day are labeled
as work-shirkers...
Girls who thankfully always (its changing nowadays... though) leave on
time are labeled as "not up to it". All the while, the bachelors pat
their own backs and carry on "working" not realizing that they r
spoiling the work culture at their own place and never realize that
they
wuld have to regret at one point of time.
* So what's the moral of the story?? *
* Very clear, LEAVE ON TIME!!!
* Never put in extra time " *unless really needed *"
* Don't stay back un-necessarily and spoil your company work culture
which will in turn cause inconvenience to you and your colleagues.
There
are hundred other things to do in the evening..
Learn music...
Learn a foreign language...
try a sport... TT, cricket.........
importantly Get a girl friend or gal friend, take him/her around
town...

* And for heaven's sake net cafe rates have dropped to an all-time low
(plus, no fire-walls) and try cooking for a change.
Take a tip from the Smirnoff ad: *"Life's calling, where are you??"*
Please pass on this message to all those colleagues And please do it
before leaving time, don't stay back till midnight to
forward this!!!

ITS A TYPICAL INDIAN MENTALITY THAT WORKING FOR LONG HOURS MEANS VERY
HARD WORKING & 100% COMMITMENT ETC.

PEOPLE WHO REGULARLY SIT LATE IN THE OFFICE DONT KNOW TO MANAGE THEIR
TIME. SIMPLE.

Section "49-O" Of Constitution

Did you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section "49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!

Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it. This is called "49-O".

Why should you go and say "I VOTE NOBODY"... because, in a ward, if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received "49-O" votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people had already expressed their decision on them. This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way, of our whole political system... it is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public....

Please spread this news to as many as you know... Seems to be a wonderful weapon against corrupt parties in India... show your power, expressing your desire not to vote for anybody, is even more powerful than voting... so don't miss your chance. So either vote, or vote not to vote (vote 49-O) and pass this info on...

"We, the people of India , can really use this power to save our nation". Use your voting right for a better INDIA.

Aisi aazaadi aur kahaa???

Never Cry for the One Who Makes You Cry!

Once, there was this guy, who was in love with a gal. She wasn't the most beautiful and gorgeous but for him, she was everything.
He used to dream about her, about spending the rest of life with her. His friends told him,
"why do you dream so much about her, when you don't even know if she loves you or not?
First tell her your feelings, and get to know if she likes you or not".
He felt that was the right way. The girl knew from the beginning, that this guy loves her.
One day when he proposed, she rejected him. His friends thought he would take to alcohol; drugs etc. and ruin his life.
To their surprise, he was not depressed.
When they asked him how was it that he is not sad, he replied,
"'Why should I feel bad? I lost one who never loved me & she lost the one who really loved and cared for her."
Never Cry for the One Who Makes You Cry!

This story tells us something about LOVE & LIFE.

This story tells us something about LOVE & LIFE.
My husband is S/W Engineer by profession, I love him for his steady nature and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders.
Two years of courtship and now, five years into marriage, I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it. The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness.
I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings. I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy. My husband is my complete opposite; his lack of sensitivity, and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about LOVE.
One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce.
"Why?" he asked, shocked.
"I am tired. There are no reasons for everything in the world!" I answered.
He kept silent the whole night, seemingly in deep thought. My feeling of disappointment only increased. Here was a man who was not able to even express his predicament, so what else could I expect from him?
And finally he asked me: "What can I do to change your mind?"
Somebody said it right... It's hard to change a person's personality, and I guess, I have started losing faith in him.
Looking deep into his eyes I slowly answered: "Here is the question. If you can answer and convince my heart, I will change my mind.
Let's say, I want a flower located on the face of a mountain cliff, and we both are sure that picking the flower will cause your death. Will you do it for me?"
He said: "I will give you your answer tomorrow...." My hopes just sank by listening to his response.
I woke up the next morning to find him gone, and saw a piece of paper with his scratchy handwriting underneath a milk glass, on the dining table near the front door, that goes....
My dear, "I would not pick that flower for you, but....please allow me to explain the reasons further.....
This first line was already breaking my heart. I continued reading.
"When you use the computer you always mess up the Software programs, and you cry in front of the screen. I have to save my fingers so that I can help to restore the programs.
You always leave the house keys behind, thus I have to save my legs to rush home to open the door for you.
You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city. I have to save my eyes to show you the way.
You always have the cramps whenever your "good friend" approaches every month. I have to save my palms so that I can calm the cramps in your tummy.
You like to stay indoors, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism. I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom.
You always stare at the computer, and that will do nothing good for your eyes. I have to save my eyes so that when we grow old, I can help to clip your nails and help to remove those annoying white hairs. So I can also hold your hand while strolling down the beach, as you enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful sand...and tell you the colour of flowers, just like the colour of the glow on your young face...
Thus, my dear, unless I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than I do... I could not pick that flower yet, and die ... "
My tears fell on the letter, and blurred the ink of his handwriting... and as I continue on reading... "Now, that you have finished reading my answer, and if you are satisfied, please open the front door for I am standing outside bringing your favorite bread and fresh milk...
I rushed to pull open the door, and saw his anxious face, clutching tightly with his hands, the milk bottle and loaf of bread....Now I am very sure that no one will ever love me as much as he does, and I have decided to leave the flower alone...
That's LIFE, and LOVE. When one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitement fades away, and one tends to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness.
Love shows up in all forms; even in very small and cheeky forms. It has never been a model. It could be the dullest and most boring form ...
Flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear on the surface of the relationship. Under all this, the pillar of true love stands... AND THAT'S LIFE

Boss calls his employee!!

A boss wondered why one of his most valued employees had phoned in sick one day.
Having an urgent problem with one of the main computers, he dialled the employee's home phone number and was greeted with a child's whisper.
"Hello?"
"Is your daddy home?" he asked.
"Yes," whispered the small voice.
"May I talk with him?"
The child whispered, "No."
Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mummy there?"
"Yes."
"May I talk with her?"
Again the small voice whispered, "No."
Hoping there was somebody with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anybody else there?"
"Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman."
Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?"
"No, he's busy", whispered the child.
"Busy doing what?"
"Talking to Mummy and Daddy and the Fireman," came the whispered answer.
Growing more worried as he heard what sounded like a helicopter through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?"
"A hello-copper" answered the whispering voice.
"What is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive.
Again, whispering, the child answered, "The search team just landed the hello-copper."
Alarmed, concerned and a little frustrated the boss asked, "What are they searching for?"
Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle : "ME."

Emperor Akbar and Birbal: Your king is the full moon

Emperor Akbar once ruled over India . He was a wise and intelligent ruler; and he had in his court the Nine Gems, his nine advisors, who were each known for a particular skill. One of these Gems was Birbal, known for his wit and wisdom. The story below is one of the examples of his wit. Do you have it in you to find the answer?
Once, Birbal was invited to Persia by the Persian king. He was honoured with celebrations in his honour and many presents and gifts were heaped on him.
After a few days of revelry and enjoyment, it was time to head back home. On the eve of his departure, a nobleman of Persia asked him how he would describe the king of Persia in comparison to his own king.
"Your king is the full moon," said Birbal. "Whereas mine is like the quarter moon."
The Persians were very happy with this answer and sent Birbal off with great pomp and gaiety.
But when Birbal got home, he found that Emperor Akbar was furious. It was obvious that information about his "praise" of the Persian king had preceded his own arrival.
"How could you belittle your own king?" demanded a furious Emperor Akbar. "You are a traitor!"
Birbal objected to this and said that he had. in fact, praised his own king! How did Birbal explain this to the king?

Answer
"No, Your Majesty," said Birbal. "I did not belittle you. The full moon diminishes and ultimately disappears whereas the quarter moon grows from strength to strength. What I, in fact, proclaimed to the world is that your power is growing from day to day whereas that of the king of Persia is declining."
Akbar was overjoyed at this answer and welcomed Birbal back with a royal embrace and a celebration in his honour.

Burdens we carry for others may become wings of the spirit

An old legend relates that long ago God had a great many burdens which He wished to have carried from one place to another on earth, so He asked the animals to lend a hand. But all of them began to make excuses for not helping: the elephant was too dignified; the lion, too proud; and so on. Finally the birds came to God and said, "If you will tie the burdens into small bundles, we'll be glad to carry them for you. We are small but we would like to help."
So God fastened upon the back of each one a small bundle, and they all set out walking across the plain to their destination. They sang as they went, and did not seem to feel the weight of their burdens at all. Every day the burdens seemed lighter and lighter, until the loads seems to be lifting the birds, instead of the birds carrying the burdens.
When they arrived at their destination, they discovered that when they removed their loads, there were wings in their place, wings which enabled them to fly to the sky and the tree tops.
They had learned how to carry their burdens, and their loads had become wings to carry them nearer to God.
Burdens we carry for others may become wings of the spirit, to lift us into happiness such as we have never known

Life is a coin. You can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once

One of the women offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.
That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver.
As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.
The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: "He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver." She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.
The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?"
He smiled at her and answered, "Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it"
If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.
****************

This very moment, someone needs to know that God is watching over them.
And, whatever they're going through, they'll be a better person in the end.
"Life is a coin. You can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once."

KINDNESS PAYS

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.
Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, "How much do I owe you?"
"You don't owe me anything," she replied "Mother has taught us never to accept payment for a kindness." He said... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt; stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Years later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.
Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he we nt in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room.
She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally, she looked, and something caught; her attention on the side as She read these words.....

"Paid in full with one glass of milk." (Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Jack and Max are walking from religious service. Jack wonders whether it would be all right to smoke while praying.
Max replies, "Why don't you ask the Priest?"
So Jack goes up to the Priest and asks, "Father, may I smoke while I pray?"
The Priest replies, "No, my son, you may not! That's utter disrespect to our religion."
Jack goes back to his friend and tells him what the good Priest told him.
Max says, "I'm not surprised. You asked the wrong question. Let me try."
And so Max goes up to the Priest and asks, "Father, may I pray while I smoke?"
To which the Priest eagerly replies, "By all means, my son. By all means. You can always pray whenever you want to."

Ask: "Can I keep working on this project while I'm on vacation?"

"Excellence" is a drive from inside, not outside

A man once visited a temple under construction where he saw a sculptor
making an idol of God. Suddenly he noticed a similar idol lying nearby.
Surprised, he asked the sculptor, "Do you need two statues of the
same idol?" "No," said the sculptor without looking up, "We need only
one, but the first one got damaged at the last stage." The gentleman
examined the idol and found no apparent damage. "Where is the damage?"
he asked. "There is a scratch on the nose of the idol." said the
sculptor, still busy with his work. "Where are you going to install
the idol?" The sculptor replied that it would be installed on a pillar
twenty feet high. "If the idol is that far, who is going to know that
there is a scratch on the nose?" the gentleman asked. The sculptor
stopped his work, looked up at the gentleman, smiled and said, "I will
know it."

*Moral of the story:*
The desire to excel is exclusive of the fact whether someone else
appreciates it or not. "Excellence" is a drive from inside, not outside.
Excel at a task today - not necessarily for someone else to notice but
for your own satisfaction and Excellence...

Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karuo

Vasdi vasdi vasdi, dil di dil vich vasdi
Nasdi nasdi nasdi, dil ro ve te nasdi
Rab Ne… Bana Di Jodi…..haiiiiii
Vasdi vasdi vasdi, dil di dil vich vasdi
Nasdi nasdi nasdi, dil ro ve te nasdi

Cham cham aaye, mujhe tarsaye
Tera saaya ched ke chumta
Oh ho ho… tu jo muskaye
Tu jo sharmaye
Jaise mera hai khuda jhumta
Tu hi meri hai barkat, tu hi meri ibadat
Aur kuch na janu, bas itna hi janu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Sajdhe sar jukhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu
Tujh mein rab dikhta hai
Yaara mein kya karu

Vasdi vasdi vasdi, dil di dil vich vasdi
Nasdi nasdi nasdi, dil ro ve te nasdi
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.. haiiiiii

Wonderful Story : Life is about correcting mistakes

Monica married Hitesh this day. At the end of the wedding party, Monica's mother gave her a newly opened bank saving passbook.

With Rs.1000 deposit amount.

Mother: 'Monica, take this passbook. Keep it as a record of your marriage life. When there's something happy and memorable happened in your new life, put some money in. Write down what it's about next to the line. The more memorable the event is, the more money you can put in. I've done the first one for you today. Do the others with Hitesh. When you look back after years, you can know how much happiness you've had.'

Monica shared this with Hitesh when getting home. They both thought it was a great idea and were anxious to know when the second deposit can be made.

This was what they did after certain time:

- 7 Feb: Rs.100, first birthday celebration for Hitesh after marriage

- 1 Mar: Rs.300, salary raise for Monica

- 20 Mar: Rs.200, vacation trip to Bali

- 15 Apr: Rs.2000, Monica got pregnant

- 1 Jun: Rs.1000, Hitesh got promoted

..... and so on...

However, after years, they started fighting and arguing for trivial things. They didn't talk much. They regretted that they had married the most nasty people in the world.... no more love...Kind of typical nowadays, huh?

One day Monica talked to her Mother:

'Mom, we can't stand it anymore. We agree to divorce. I can't imagine how I decided to marry this guy!!!'

Mother: 'Sure, girl, that's no big deal. Just do whatever you want if you really can't stand it. But before that, do one thing first. Remember the saving passbook I gave you on your wedding day? Take out all money and spend it first. You shouldn't keep any record of such a poor marriage.'

Monica thought it was true. So she went to the bank, waiting at the queue and planning to cancel the account.

While she was waiting, she took a look at the passbook record. She looked, and looked, and looked. Then the memory of all the previous joy and happiness just came up her mind. Her eyes were then filled with tears. She left and went home.

When she was home, she handed the passbook to Hitesh, asked him to spend the money before getting divorce.

The next day, Hitesh gave the passbook back to Monica. She found a new deposit of Rs.5000. And a line next to the record: 'This is the day I notice, how much I've loved you thru out all these years. How much happiness you've brought me.'

They hugged and cried, putting the passbook back to the safe.

Do you know how much money they had saved when they retired? I did not ask.I believe the money did not matter any more after they had gone through all the good years in their life.

"When you fall, in any way, Don't see the place where you fell, Instead see the place from where you slipped. Life is about correcting mistakes."

Never Abandon Your Dreams

There were once 2 brothers who lived on the 80th level. On coming home one day, they realized to their dismay that the lifts were not working and that they have to climb the stairs home.
After struggling to the 20th level, panting and tired, they decided to abandon their bags and come back for them the next day. They left their bags then and climbed on. When they have struggled to the 40th level, the younger brother started to grumble and both of them began to quarrel. They continued to climb the flights of steps, quarreling all the way to the 60th floor.
They then realized that they have only 20 levels more to climb and decided to stop quarreling and continue climbing in peace. They silently climbed on and reached their home at long last. Each stood calmly before the door and waited for the other to open the door.
And they realized that the key was in their bags which was left on the 20th floor
This story is reflecting on our life...many of us live under the expectations of our parents, teachers and friends when young. We seldom get to do the things that we really like and love and are under so much pressure and stress so that by the age of 20, we get tired and decided to dump this load.
Being free of the stress and pressure, we work enthusiastically and dream ambitious wishes.
But by the time we reach 40 years old, we start to lose our vision and dreams. We began to feel unsatisfied and start to complain and criticize. We live life as a misery as we are never satisfied. Reaching 60, we realize that we have little left for complaining anymore, and we began to walk the final episode in peace and calmness.
We think that there is nothing left to disappoint us, only to realize that we could not rest in peace because we have an unfulfilled dream ...... a dream we abandoned 60 years ago.
So what is your dream
Follow your dreams, so that you will not live with regrets.

Refuse to Accept Failure

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first man to climb Mount Everest. On May 29, 1953 he scaled the highest mountain then known to man - 29, 000 feet straight up. He was knighted for his efforts. He even made American Express card commercials because of it! However, until we read his book, High Adventure, we don't understand that Hillary had to grow into this success. You see, in 1952 he attempted to climb
Mount Everest, but failed. A few weeks later a group in England asked him to address its members. Hillary walked on stage to a thunderous applause. The audience was recognizing an attempt at greatness, but Edmund Hillary saw himself as a failure. He moved away from the microphone and walked to the edge of the platform. He made a fist and pointed at a picture of the mountain. He said in a loud voice, "Mount Everest, you beat me the first time, but I'll beat you the next time because you've grown all you are going to grow... but I'm still growing!"

Be Different

To make a difference, you often must be different. It takes courage and confidence to go against the grain of negativity that surrounds you, and such courage can bring great rewards.
Where others see only doom and gloom, look for the bright glimmer of opportunity. For it is most certainly there.
When everyone is looking for someone to blame for what has already happened, turn your focus toward the future. Exploring the current possibilities will create infinitely more value than arguing over past failures.
When you encounter rudeness and irritation, generously offer your own polite and confident patience. When you bump up against the arrogance of another person, melt it away with your own sincere, self-assured humility.
Just because everyone is heading in a negative direction doesn't mean you must go that way too. On the contrary, it's a valuable opportunity for you to set a positive example.
In times of great difficulty and stress, choose to be a beacon of encouragement, understanding and positive purpose. Be different, and you can truly make a valuable positive difference.

Change your words to Change your life

When you change your words you will change your life. Think before you speak.
Make positive affirmations and create more happiness and success in your life. Try to use the following replacement words to create more self-confidence and to build self-esteem.
Replace the words "I can't" with "I haven't yet."
Replace the words "If I" with "When I."
Replace the words "I will try" with "I will do."
Replace the words "That's going to be a problem" with "That's going to be a challenge."
Replace the words "I don't know" with "I will find out."
Replace the words "What a failure" with "What a success --I learned something."
Practice using these replacement words until they become a natural automatic way of speaking and thinking., until they become a habit. You will be pleased with the results!

Opinions Don’t Matter

It doesn't matter what other people think of you.
All that matters is what you think of you.

We waste so much energy worrying about the opinions of others,
wanting to be liked, needing to please.
But authentic leadership and real personal mastery
are all about rising above social approval – to self- approval.
Respect you, so long as you are living by your values ,
being authentic, running your own race and doing your dreams,
why worry what anyone else thinks or feels or says about you?
Success isin't a popularity contest.
And at the end of each day, what matters most is whether
you were true to yourself.

Keep moving ahead

He who is silent is forgotten;
He who does not advance, falls back;
He who stops is overwhelmed;
He who is out distanced is crushed;
He who ceases to grow, becomes smaller;
He who leaves off, gives up.
The moment you decide to stop in life,
its the beginning of your end.
Keep moving ahead.

It's not enough

It's not enough to want better things for yourself. You must find ways to make things better.
It's not enough to say the world is in turmoil. You must find ways to bring peace into it.
It's not enough to point at someone else and blame them for what is wrong. You must welcome them in and ask how you can help them make it right.
It's not enough to say "Someone ought to do something about it!" You are someone, do it!
It's not enough to pray and ask for God's help. You must thank him for the challenge and the opportunity to learn from it.
It's not enough to tell a child what is right. You must be what is right so they learn from your example.
It's not enough to wish. You must work to make it so.
It's not enough to ask. You must give to earn the right.
It's not enough to say "I tried!" You must try and try again.
It's not enough to want to be loved. You must learn how to love first.
It's not enough say "I care." You must show how much and why.
It's not enough to wake up. You must thank God you did.
It's not enough to just earn a living. You must create a life.
It's not enough to begin. You must always follow through.
It's not enough to have a friend. You must learn to be one, too.
It's not enough to believe in someone. You must tell them so. "I believe in you!" and "I wish you enough!"

When someone hurts us,we should write it down in sand

A story tells that two friends
were walking
through the desert
During some point of the
Journey they had an
Argument, and one friend
Slapped the other one
In the face.
The one who got slapped
was hurt, but without
saying anything,
wrote in the sand:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE
They kept on walking
until they found an oasis,
where they decided
to take a bath.
The one who had been
slapped got stuck in the
mire and started drowning,
but the friend saved him.
After he recovered from
the near drowning,
he wrote on a stone:
TODAY MY BEST FRIEND
SAVED MY LIFE.
The friend who had slapped
and saved his best friend
asked him, "After I hurt you,
you wrote in the sand and now,
you write on a stone, why?"
The other friend replied
"When someone hurts us
we should write it down
in sand where winds of
forgiveness can erase it away.
But, when someone does
something good for us,
we must engrave it in stone
where no wind
can ever erase it।"

LEARN TO WRITE
YOUR HURTS IN

THE SAND AND TO
CARVE YOUR
BENEFITS IN STONE!!!

They say it takes a
minute to find a special
person, an hour to
appreciate them, a day
to love them, but then
an entire life
to forget them

Take the time to live!
Do not value the THINGS
you have in your life. But value
WHO you have in your life!

Love your Parents

The Boy & the apple Tree :

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy
loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the
treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow. He loved the
tree and the tree loved to play with him.
Time went by. The little boy had grown up and he no longer
played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. "Come
and play with me," the tree asked the boy. "I am no longer a kid, I
do not play around trees any more" the boy replied. "I want toys. I
need money to buy them." "Sorry, but I do not have money. But you can
pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money." The boy
was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left
happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree
was sad.
One-day, the boy who now turned into a man returned and the tree
was excited, "Come and play with me," the tree said. "I do not have
time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for
shelter. Can you help me?" "Sorry, but I do not have any house. But
you can chop off my branches to build your house."
So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The
tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back. Since
then the tree was again lonely and sad.
One hot summer day, the man returned and the tree was delighted.
"Come and play with me!" the tree said. "I am getting old. I want to
go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?" said the man.
"Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be
happy." So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing
and never showed up for a long time. Finally, the man returned after
many years. "Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you
anymore. No more apples for you," the tree said.
"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite" the man replied."No
more trunk for you to climb on", "I am too old for that now" the man
said. "I really cannot give you anything... the only thing left is my
dying roots," the tree said with tears. "I do not need much now, just
a place to rest. I am tired after all these years" the man replied.
"Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest, Come,
come sit down with me and rest." The man sat down and the tree was
glad and smiled with tears.

This is a story of everyone.

The tree is like our parents

When we were young, we loved to play with our Mum and Dad... When we
grow up, we leave them, only come to them when we need something or
when we are in trouble.
No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything
they could just to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree, but that is how all of us treat our parents.

We take them for granted we don't appreciate all they do for us, UNTIL it's too late.

Please enlighten all your friends and your families by telling them
this story,

Love your Parents

For my Friend

We all need someone
To talk to in our life,
A friend to whom we run
In times of stress or strife

A friend who's always there
Throughout the years,
A friend we know will care
And take away our fears.

A friend who's always near,
Waiting for our call,
To wipe away our tears,
And lift us when we fall.

A loving friend indeed,
On whom we can depend
To fulfill our every need -
Thank you, precious friend

Planning or Co-incidence

This is actually really freaky!! (mainly the end part, but read it all first)

New York City has 11 letters

Afghanistan has 11 letters.

Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters.

George W Bush has 11 letters.

This could be a mere coincidence, but this gets more interesting:

New York is the 11th state.

The first plane crashing against the Twin Towers was flight number 11.

Flight 11 was carrying 92 passengers. 9 + 2 = 11

Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers , was carrying 65 passengers. 6+5 = 11

The tragedy was on September 11, or 9/11 as it is now known. 9 + 1+ 1 = 11

The date is equal to the US emergency services telephone number 911. 9 + 1 + 1 = 11

Sheer coincidence. ..?! Read on and make up your own mind:

The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

September 11 is day number 254 of the calendar year. Again 2 + 5 + 4 = 11.

The Madridbombing took place on 3/11/2004 . 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11

The tragedy of Madrid happened 911 days after the Twin Towers incident.

Now this is where things get totally eerie:

The most recognized symbol for the US , after the Stars & Stripes, is the Eagle. The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic holy book:

"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced: for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah and there was peace."

That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran.

Unconvinced about all of this Still ..?! Try this and see how you feel afterwards, it made my hair stand on end:

Open Microsoft Word and do the following:

Type in capitals Q33 NY. This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers . *

Highlight the Q33 NY.

Change the font size to 48.

Change the actual font to the WINGDINGS

Q33 NY( U will get this)

What do you think now?!!
